So I know you guys have to be sick of hearing about how I talked to Gillian.
But it’s almost 3am & I can’t get it out of my head so I’m going to write out everything I remember so hopefully 1. I don’t ever ever forget & 2. So I can get some sleep because I have class in a few hours.
Here goes.
So after Gillian came out the first time she left & went down to the GreenRoom. David was playing one more song & calling it quits. I reallllyyy had to use the bathroom but I didn’t want to miss anything. Side note the bathrooms were downstairs near the Green Room (before you ask no I did not stalk this woman in the bathroom). Madeleine Martin (Becca Moody from Californication) also sang with DD tonight & was in the bathroom when I went in. Again, I left her alone. I’m a fan but I’m certainly not going to approach her in a bathroom (while she’s talking with friends!). Anywho, so I do my thing & I wash my hands & Im out the door heading back up stairs to the show. I stop at the bottom of the stairs because I can see that at the top of the stairs (it’s a dead end with an immediate left or right), on the left hand side I see a shoulder, arm, hand & that blessed tambourine. Then I hear her laugh & I know IMMEDIATELY it’s her. And I have to walk past her. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION. So I take my time & I walk the stairs slowly giving her & the two security / manager type guys she’s with a chance to tell me to get lost or to move her or what ever. Nope. Nada. So I get to the top of the stairs & I have to turn left to go back out & there’s her 1 foot from me on my left, the manager on my right & a security guy next to him. They’re chit chatting (Gillian & Manager Dude) & laughing. So what do I do? I just stand there. That’s it. I freaking froze. I’m not even looking at anyone I’m just looking straight ahead. (It might help to mention that this hall is narrow & they can’t stand side by side. Both of them have their backs against their respective walls & are facing each other). Finally (bless her) Gillian looks at me & says “do you want to get through?”. So I manage not to trip over my words (I still have BARELY looked at her) & I say “uhmm, yes please, if that’s okay. Sorry I didn’t want to just walk through.” So she like makes a gesturing motion with her left hand & leans back a little (not because there wasn’t room but because that’s like normal habit when someone is walking passed you). So I start to cross between them & the manager guy says something about “yeah they really got excited when you came out” & she laughs. So this is the moment I somehow find my who-plah & I turn around, look her dead in the eye (they were green tonight btw) & say “yeah when you came out everyone behind me went crazy, it was awesome.”. She laughs again & before I can say anything else I just turn around & walk away.
It was amazing. Super short but super sweet too. She’s definitely taller than me. She’s so freaking gorgeous. Her laugh is somehow even better in person. She was so kind & just chill about it all. I just still can’t believe it happened.
I’ll shut up about it now.
